Let’s say you are playing the Battle Royale match of your life, on a game like Apex, Fortnite, PUBG, or even Call of Duty Blackops IV. And you are winning. How is it like to save the last scene for yourself? Or to upload it on Youtube? It takes just 2 buttons to press, but first let’s do some…
First of all, you need to set up the length of the clip. Usually, a last great (or bad/crazy) scene doesn’t last more than 15 seconds, so if you set up the length of the clip to 30 seconds you will have also some kind of intro to your video scene.
On the other hand, if you are attacking an outpost in Far Cry for example, maybe you will want to set it up to 3 minutes, or even more, like 5 minutes. You will have the final movie, the action itself, the recon before the assault, and also some intro.
You will find it in Settings » Sharing and broadcast » Video Clip Settings » Lenght of the Video Clip. I have made some screenshots for you to get there without losing to much time in the menus. Just think about what are you gonna play and adjust your video length accordingly.
How to save the clip?
When you decide to save a clip during a game, just press SHARE, wait for the square icon to light up and press SQUARE. You will be able to find in your Video Gallery a video of THE LAST 30 SECONDS of your gameplay (if you chose the length to the clip to be 30 seconds like I did in the screenshots).
Simple as that.
In the next #howto, I will show you what you can do with that video you saved.
