#whyIfailed is a series of videos recorded during the games I play the most on PlayStation 4, and I want to detail on costin.live, to understand how to improve my gameplay skills by analysing in short the mistakes I do. I think It might connect some dots on your gameplay also. In all cases, enjoy the cinematic view of the most sudden fails of mine. I cannot help it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Game: Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands
Free update: Ghost War
Game Community: Ghost Recon Network
Company: UBISOFT
PlayStation Store: Deluxe Edition

Map: Srapyard
Class: Guerrilla
The Guerrilla uses a drone to create smoke screens for both offensive and defensive tactics, like taking the Access Point, or trying to revive your team mates.
Primary Weapon: G2 (small damage, good range, big rate of fire)
Secondary Weapon: 5.7 USG
Perk: Athletic Sprinter
Frag Grenade: 2
Flash Grenade: 2

First of all, Scrapyard is one of my get-in-the-mood maps in Ghost War. I love the long start sprint, to force the houses entries and overpower the farthest building on the map. Yeah, the closest one from the enemy line! I have played this map 72 times on quick matches and 15 times on ranked games, and I can tell that it’s the perfect map for getting an adrenaline shot.

You will see in the beginning of each round that I can reach the last door on the map before any of my enemies, and this is due to a) the athletic sprinter perk (I’m missing athletic sprinter only on defensive extraction maps, where I go with full bags perk), and b) practice the sprint & the pause you need to take to recover stamina.

Using classes like Assassin, Pathfinder, Artillerist and Medic, you might consider mining that last door. I bet on 8 kills from 10 mines. If you don’t go full-bags, keep the second mind for the first dead enemy body. On Scrapyard, the second mine can increment the kills with 1 in no more than 30 seconds. The odds are lower, but it worth a try.

#whyIfailed

Now, why I failed at the end of the second round, in a classic one-vs-one fight? I think the main mistake was that I landed the drone before use it to search the position of the last enemy, or, at least, to see if I can reach the smoke screen in safety.

Apparently, the enemy was very close to me, he guessed my location by the primary location of the drone (do you know you can have a real time second screen satellite-view radar for Ghost War?) and, I think, part of my body. That explains his rush directly on me and my surprise on his move. I thought I will find him circling the bodies of my team mates.

Tips for Guerrilla Class

When I’m playing with Guerrilla Class, I use the G2 primary weapon. I think is’s better than the MPX for its long range (very powerful in 2-3 bullets bursts usage, to reach for heads and/or suppress the enemies), and its penetration factor, very interesting for all the wood walls around. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Take also into consideration that the G2 it’s a low damage bullpup (around 15-20%?), and, over 60-70 meters, its high rate of fire makes it spread bullets as raindrops in all directions. You can take an enemy down by 2-3 short bursts, or, of course, by headshot, available only to God Ghosts and The Rest of the Lucky Ones. ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚
